Our Executive Team provides strategic leadership and direction for the entire Trust. Comprised of experienced professionals with a deep understanding of education, leadership and business management, they work closely with school leaders to drive our vision and ensure we remain true to our ethos and values. Their guidance ensures that our schools are empowered to deliver outstanding outcomes while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Led by Kate Staples the Chief Operating Officer the Operations Team oversees the day-to-day logistical and operational needs of the Trust. They ensure that our schools run smoothly, from facilities management to HR support and compliance. By supporting these crucial functions, the Operations Team allows our educators to concentrate on what matters most—teaching and learning—while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.

Led by Alec Smallwood the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Team is responsible for managing the financial health of our Trust. With a sharp focus on transparency, accountability, and sustainability, they ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively across all schools. Their expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting helps us maintain fiscal responsibility while supporting the growth and development of our educational offerings.

Led by Paul Spreadbury the Chief Education Lead, the Education Team is at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional learning experiences. This team of experienced educators and curriculum specialists works closely with our schools to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, monitor student progress, and drive school improvement initiatives. Their commitment to high standards and continuous professional development ensures that every child in our care receives the best possible education.

External School Improvement Support

In a Multi Academy Trust (MAT), a single Trust takes on the responsibility of overseeing multiple schools. Operating as a legal entity, the Trust holds a pivotal role as the direct employer of staff and the custodian of land titles. As a charitable company limited by guarantee, it upholds its commitment to charitable purposes. To maintain a balanced structure, Manor Hall Academy Trust is required to have both Members and Directors on board, ensuring effective governance and strategic decision-making.
