September isn’t just about fresh exercise books and the buzz of students returning to classrooms — it’s also about new beginnings for our leadership teams. This year, we’re delighted to welcome new colleagues who bring experience, energy, and passion to their roles.
Welcome to the Central Team: Louise Smith
We’re thrilled to welcome Louise Smith as our new School Business and Health & Safety Improvement Officer, joining the central team one day a week.
Louise began her journey at Springfield School in 2016 before becoming Federation Business Manager for both Springfield and The Meadows. With a BA (Hons) in School Business Management and currently completing her NEBOSH qualification, she brings professional expertise alongside a deep commitment to wellbeing and improvement across our schools.
Reflecting on her journey, Louise says:
“This has been such an amazing journey, being part of the growth and development of the Trust. I feel truly privileged to be part of an organisation that has a big heart and continues to make a difference each day. I’ve been so lucky to work alongside so many amazing professionals, and I’m so excited about this next chapter.”
When she’s not at work, Louise loves spending time with her family and friends, creating special memories together.
Congratulations Dr Kathryn Taylor
We’re delighted to announce Dr Kathryn Taylor’s appointment as Headteacher at The Meadows!
Kathryn’s leadership, dedication, and deep connection to the school community make her the ideal person to guide The Meadows into its next chapter. Following a successful recruitment process and a recent outstanding Ofsted outcome, we’re excited to see her continue to champion inclusive education and our Trust’s mission:
#EveryoneBelongs #EveryoneLearns #EveryoneGrows
We’re looking forward to the year ahead under Kathryn’s leadership!
Welcome to Full-Time Leadership: Chris Best
We’re also delighted that Chris Best will be increasing his role from one day a week as Deputy CEO to full-time.
Chris has already made a real impact in his time with the Trust, and we can’t wait to see the difference his full-time leadership will bring as he continues to strengthen our strategy, support our schools, and help drive growth for the future.
A Year of Growth
As we step into the new school year, we’re excited to see how these leaders will shape and strengthen our Trust community. Their passion and commitment will help us continue to create schools where every child and every colleague can thrive.
